That was on Montel. And, to some, that would definitely show her for what she is. But not everyone, unfortunately.

The mining disaster fiasco on Coast to Coast was another classic--on the order of transparent flim-flammery as the Duke and the Dauphin in Huckleberry Finn.

At least back then the ignorant, uneducated country folk knew how to do a proper tar and feathering.

And ride them out of town on a rail.

Speaking of mines, it's also worth mentioning that SB narrowly avoided prison for a mine investment scam. She apparently told several investors to invest in a mine that her "psychic powers" told her would pay off and then took the money and ran.

She didn't invest it in anything but herself, well, technically the Nirvana Foundation, the "psychic research organization" she was running then.

Didn't even predict that she'd get caught and arrested!

And tomorrow starts an all new season of Montel with Sylvia - and the show is coming from Las Vegas. Guess she got him to fly out there while she was there for the month of August. Should be interesting to see what she does now that she's been so publicly exposed. I'm sure we won't be hearing predictions on any "high profile" cases from her. Well, then again, she's stupid enough to keep putting herself out there because she knows that no matter what RSL does, her loyal followers won't read his site or desert her.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that Sylvia Browne hasn't done any missing persons cases since the Shawn Hornbeck fiasco. Just haunted dance studios and Nero's address and the like.

I doubt that we'll see SB doing any more high profile cases. She knows Robert is watching everything she does....and now because of Robert, so are a lot of others.

Actually, she has talked about secret societies and conspiracy theories since her earliest days. This is just the first time she has centered a book around them.

I think she's pushing hard on her books to make as much $ as she can while she still can. Doesn't she have about 3 more slated to come out thru 2008?
Sheesh.

"Sylvia goes to the bathroom and comes back with another book!". The woman always has a book "just out" and 5 more coming soon. Her ghostwriters do, at least.

Conspiracy theories now? Is there any woo woo trend or belief this woman won't cash in on or confirm? Psychic children, the Da Vinci Code, aliens and now conspiracy theories.

It's getting to the point she'll say anything just as long as one human being has uttered those words in that sequence before she has. "Princess Diana was killed in a terrorist attack ordered Osama Bin Laden!...Sylvia, people say Princess Diana killed by Osama Bin Laden, is that true?" "Oh, yeah, it was a terrorist attack on France and Britain both...you see what I mean?"

The people on GSB are CLUELESS!

One member wrote about a reading she had with Sylvia last October. SB told her that her kindred soul - the person she would marry is John and she would meet him in March of this year. March came and went - no John. She called SB's radio show and asked the same question. This time SB told her the man she would meet and marry is Frank. A third time she called in and got through - this time SB told her the man she would meet and marry is Joseph. The member is asking on the board about the inconsistencies (and we all know that's a big no-no over there). She's upset and says she doesn't know what to think or believe anymore.

The responses she got ranged from - "you're so lucky you got through to ask a question" to
"that's some bad luck" to
"maybe SB was reading from your past and these were men in your past lives -
but the most laughable -
"maybe the guy you're going to meet has all three names - John Frank and Joseph."

Oooooh, this is too good! Even someone who believes/believed in her is seeing somrthing to be concerned about. I feel sad for the woman, but having your eyes opened is one of the best things that can happen to someone. I am one who knows.
I do wish some others who have spoken to Sylvia or been to see her on Oprah would come forward. They probably just feel foolish and chalk their experience up as a big waste they would rather forget about.

That is just plain sad...no other word for it. Yet another who's hopes and dreams have been dashed on the jagged rocks by SB.

Hopefully she (the woman in your post) wises up and moves on....putting SB far, far, FAR behind her.

Robert, did you see the Las Vegas show from Wednesday? Sylvia promoted her new book (big surprise) and she made a mistake when she mentioned the "Skull and Bones" group, calling it "Skull and Crossbones". I put up a video of her error here:

I AGREE

I don't think she bothers to read her own books! I don't think this is article-worthy but it is good for a laugh.

bjb - I've never heard of Skull and Bones. Off to do more Googling. So now she's into giving us all the answers to Conspiricies. Isn't it enough that she's dropped her bones of wisdom to us about god and Mary and Jesus and how we develop as souls and about ancient mysteries and...and...I'm sure she's just about got EVERYTHING covered by now...

So many fiascos to choose from...but the Opal Jo Jennings case was particularly vile. If I were a member of the family I'd demand a public apology from Browne for the mental torture her "reading" must have caused.

Oh, Skull & Bones is no conspiracy theory (in the sense, usually implied, of being false). This secret society's' connections to power and intelligence are well documented. It was the chrysalis for both George H.W. And George W. Bush, as well as other presidents, supreme court justices, business leaders, and CIA big wigs.

It goes without saying, of course, that the CIA is an illegal organization, and that anyone or anything connected with the Agency is automatically suspect. I hope that's generally recognized in these forums.

I'm not sure what this has to do with the OP or Sylvia Brown....
