Surowick formed the basis of intuitive process facilitation through studies of energy healing and the mystical Kabbalah.

When she left Tompkins County to attend art school in Vermont, Surowick supplemented her curriculum with courses in symbology and astrology.

She reads tarot cards and auras,

I'm sorry, did you say something? Your Avatar is making it hard for me to concentrate.

The phrase "intuitive process facilitation" alone is almost enough to make me gag... but I'll try to get through this article. Gotta keep up to date with the crazies!

Speaking of which, there's gonna be a free "REVELATIONS" seminar in my town this week! I hope they have a Q&A period!

Ok I finished the article.

"It was very affirming and confirming for me," says Boel... a member of a band who received one of Surowick's energy audits.

Affirmation really is a buzz word in these circles isn't it? Oddly the words "affirm" and "confirm" do not indicate any new insights have come to light... of course Surowick is ONLY claiming to facilitate the artists work anyway. gee!

The article summarizes some of Surowick's success stories:

"Surowick said one of her clients, a sculptor, was able to move from large bronze sculptures to smaller, wire pieces that made him feel more confident in his work. A musician was able to excel during her 15-minute stage show at a regional music festival after working with Surowick, and an elementary school teacher began to explore new teaching methods. "

I hope I don't offend anyone... but whoopdy f*ckin' doo! If you have to see energy flows to accomplish the above mentioned feats, you're stupid!

Be sure to tell them that the rapture already happened, and they're obviously still here, and maybe they should think about that.

I read the article as well. Isn't there supposed to be one token skeptical quote in those sort of article? I didn't see any trace of skeptical viewpoint at all.

Almost fell off my chair now! This woman in the picture looks sooo much like a cousin of mine! I was scared for a while.

She does look pretty good for age 53, though. (Assuming that picture was taken recently.)

Maybe she keeps her youthful looks by sitting in an orgone accumulator.

The second I saw the URL, I knew this was going to be major woowoo. Ithaca has the U.S.'s highest percentage (approximately 127.4%) of 60's-era loonies who'd fried their brains on every conceivable substance legal and otherwise.

True fact. I lived there for 15 years.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of these people were not made sterile by their drug use, and in the ensuing years, they've continued to breed and they've passed their dementia on to their children.

Also unfortunately, the area is economically depressed and will only support so many used-book, scented candle, and aromotherapy boutiques, and the woowoos eventually leave and settle in the midst of the rest of us.

That sounds a bit LaMarckian.

I didn't mean the kids inherit the dementia. The 60's survivors teach it to them. Kinda like North Korea...
