Powers of the Paranormal: Live on Stage!

Yes, the same kind of stage magic shows are performed on. Anybody get the hint? Apparently not. It's on right now (22:15 EST) on the SciFi channel; the show apparently runs the gamut of psychic abilities, from telekenesis to remote viewing...and guess who's up: our man Uri!

Edited to add: Since my television is in a different sector of the house from that in which my computer resides, I'm afraid I'll have to sit this one out. But if any of you get to watch it, let me know how it goes.

Pathetic. I tuned in for 2 minutes...a segment where 2 'psychics' and 2 audience members "levitated" a table. Except it was so apparant what was really going on. Geez, if you're gonna claim to be psychic, at least put on a good show...

Some miscellaneous comments:

God... the guy with the styrofoam cups and the sharp blade had annoying speech during his demonstration.

If not a total plant, I believe one way is that the woman could have had a 'message' contained in her gloves. For example, an 'n-cornered shape' to say which number cup the blade goes under.

cup 1- circle
cup 2- skinny rectangle
cup 3- triangle
cup 4 - square

I like Uri's watch moving demonstration. It works every time with my Rolex Oyster Perpetual..

I can't believe how obvious the spoon bending demonstration was. It was clearly weakened beforehand I feel. Afterwards, they panned to the audience, and spoons were bent in loops, etc. C'mon.

The spoon bit was great! When they cut to the audience, it was obvious to me that the sound of the applause and the MC voice over were not sinqed up with the shot of the audience waving their spoons in the air.

I felt bad for the smiling guy who waved his completely unbent spoon in the air with the rest of the bent ones as if his was just as special.

What a load!
