Post Central Illinois Magicians

The new web site for the Peoria Magicians Assembly is now on-line. The central Illinois club is based in Peoria, and is a local affiliate of both the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. The web site is still a little rough around the edges, but it's up and running and everything seems to work... so far anyway. Check it out. --> PMA

What's this got to do with the JREF Forum amd members' motives for joining?!? BTW - I've got a classic Chevy for sale, very nice price - interested? Or what about a selection of unwanted novels - only read once, if that - very good condition? Or what about ...

I could be wrong, Southwind, but I don't see anything out of line with GeeMack's post. It might better fit in the Community section or T.A.M. and other Events section, but it's not directly a sales pitch, and I fail to see how GeeMack might possibly profit from it.

It's a link to a magical community in the Conjuror's Corner.

You're absolutely right Garrette, you could be wrong. You don't see anything out of line because GeeMack is a master of diguise and illusion. He's pulled the wool over your eyes, and a rabbit out of the hat. But I'm not falling for it. I can see through the smoke and mirrors. BTW - know anybody interested in the Chevy?!? Could throw in a set of hardly-used steak knives for free!!!

I am, in fact, quite frequently wrong, but you have done nothing to demonstrate that I am wrong in this particular case.

So what exactly is out of line? Your comparison to selling a car doesn't cut it. If you think it does then report the post. I'm sure the moderators will see the difference.

Guys - it was a bit of literary frollick - I was bored and desperate to make headway to my 50th post. Some people will look for an argument over just about anything. How's it going with the neighbours?!?

Perhaps your frollicking needs some work.

Yes, some people certainly will.

Good to learn I'm not the only bored member round these parts. What say we all discuss something interesting? Who's gonna go first?
