how many of you think real magic exists. if it doesn't, why do underground groups invest so much time and resources into these practices. the power of such things is more valuable than a million dollar prize.

The MDC could be won in half a working day with little effort if you had such powers. You would have the potential to turn this into a lot more, with the publicity generated, by going on the celebrity circuit. If I had super powers I would get the million. Candy from a baby.

No, no. illogical is right. I use real magic to perform my allegedly mundane magic tricks. I just don't want anyone else to know.

It's amazing that there are only a handful of people who saw through my ruse. They accused me of being in league with the devil and I threw everyone else off the track by laughing at them. It was close, though. They had me sweating for a while.

And I don't want the million dollars because it would be bad for my karma to use the money to do some good like save babies or something.

I agree with you, Garrette. What if you saved the babies and one of them grew up to be a mass murderer? That would be pretty bad for the karma.

I have a very good friend who is generally very intelligent but is also involved in the whole ritualistic occult thing for many years now. Now him knowing me as a skeptic, never gave me a straight answer if he actually believes in real magic (in fact, half the time I couldn't tell if he's just scamming people because he teaches this stuff to others or if he was just trying to "spread the magic") but he finally confessed to me that the main point of doing all of this, or any ritual, is to get your mind focused to a particular goal in order to achieve the things you've been wanting out of life. You know, the "power" of positive thinking... well, his "powers" recently landed him in a Haiti jail for the past 3 months! He went there to become a certified voodoo priest. He was caught leaving the country with an ancestral skull (which is allowed by his fellow voodoo priests, but not allowed by Haiti law.)

In any case, with all of his rituals, magic and powers, he's had the worst luck!
